What do you guys think of such interfaces? So what I wonder now: Is this a general Problem that I would also get on a new MacBook Pro with i9 oder a bigger iMac? Or is my MacBook Pro just too slow?Īfter searching the web for a while on this Topic I found out that there are Audio Interfaces like "Universal Audio Arrow" with DSP so that you can have certain Plug-Ins running in the interface and not in Logic which means nearly no Latency when recording. It depends on the Project Size, sometimes I can record Voice with Autotune (pitch correct plug in from logic) Live with nearly no latency but as soon as the project gets bigger I get a lot of latency or those noises. Meaning I sometimes hear crackling noises and so on. When I want to record Voice or guitar I turn down my I/O Buffer Size to 32 or 64 but sometimes that brings my MacBook Pro to the edge of power. So I own a MacBook Pro Late 2016 (2,6 i7 Quad Core, 16GB Ram). I have questions concerning recording voice and guitar in Logic.
